We in America know very little about persecution because of our beliefs. The government at all levels tries to restrict any public display of our belief under the lie of "separation of church and state" being in our constitution. This along with societal pressures of being "politically correct restrict our lives and fredom of speech to some extend and need to be confronted. While these issues constantly restrict our freedom of speech these are nothing compared to what Christians experience in other countries.
Restrictions on what they say and read along with their right to assembly are severe in many countries, including death from both offical and unoffical levels. Practicing Christianity can get you tortured and killed by Muslims, Radical Hindus, communist, Marxist FARC guerillas, leader worshippers in North Korea, and government sponsored militias. Our responsiblity is try and stop this and, at the same time to help these Christians as much as we are able.
